光华鼎力访美实现走向世界愿景

　　纽约城市大学皇后学院建立于1937年，是美国纽约城市大学中最大的学院，也是美国大学优等生荣誉学会的成员，被誉为“纽约城市大学的明珠”。学院在校生约17000人，国际学生来自世界140个国家。学院设有63个本科专业和53研究生专业，其文理科和职业前的培训在美国享有声誉。皇后学院占地77英亩，校园环境优美，周围环绕着大片草坪和古老的建筑。学院分为几个校区，包括位于曼哈顿43大街的Extension中心和位于法盛社地区的纽约城市大学高等教育中心。地处Long Island北岸的Caumsett州立公园占地1600英亩，环境教育与研究中心便设立在此，其中心也为学生和老师提供教研设备。

　　应美国纽约城市大学皇后学院继续教育学院院长汤姆先生的邀请，光华鼎力教育集团总裁武俊杰先生、校长范萍女士和皇后学院中国区业务主管周宝先生一行三人，于美国当地时间1月11日至22日对纽约、华盛顿、波士顿、芝加哥等地进行了为期12天的考察、交流和访问。
　　在美期间，纽约城市大学皇后学院与光华鼎力教育集团就教育、文化的交流与合作进行了磋商，并就双方在美国纽约和中国北京互设联络处和培训基地达成一致意见，同时就学生交流、教师培训以及英语教学、汉语教学达成共识并签属合作协议。
　　考察期间，武总一行三人参观了哈佛大学、耶鲁大学、哥伦比亚大学，纽约城市大学、阿尔伯尼大学，并拜访了美国国会议员办公室主任爱伦女士、纽约城市大学人力资源部主任孟义先生及中美文化交流公司总裁乔博士，并走访了纽约的中国城（唐人街），参观了纽约自由女神岛、移民岛、纳斯达克证券交易所、帝国大厦、大都会博物馆、时代广场、世贸大厦遗址、联合国办公大厦，与在纽约的华人华侨和留学生代表进行了交流，并与华尔街的投资机构进行了洽谈。
　　此次美国之行，为实现光华鼎力提出的“立足北京、面向三北、辐射全国、走向世界”宏伟目标的愿景推开了一扇新的大门。据悉，光华鼎力教育集团驻纽约联络处正在紧张筹备中，将于2008年暑假启用。同时，第一批光华鼎力优秀学生代表于2008年暑假赴美进行培训、交流、考察和实践。

　　Mr. Wu Junjie (CEO of Guanghua Dingli), Ms. Fan Ping (Dean of Guanghua Dingli) and Mr. Eric Zhou (China Operations Coordinator of Queens College of City University of New York) have completed a twelve-day business trip to America, including cities of New York, Washington, Boston and Chicago. During the visit, Mr. Wu and his retinue have met Mr. Thomas C. Cracovia (Executive Director of Continuing Education Programs Queens College of City University of New York), and have further discussion about cooperation on educational and cultural fields. Both parties have come to an agreement on establishing liaison offices and English training centre in both New York and Beijing. And meanwhile, they closed a contract on providing programs for students exchange, teachers’ training, as well as training of teaching English and Chinese.

　　Mr. Wu and his retinue have visited Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, City University of New York and University of Alberta. They have also visited Ms. Allen Wallach, Senior Executive of US Congressman, Mr. Menzi, HR Director of CUNY and Dr. Frank Kehl, President of US-China Culture Exchanges, as well as places like New York Chinatown, the State of Liberty, Ellis Island, NASDAQ, The Empire State Building, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tome Square, Ground Zero and The United Nations Building. Not only did they communicate with overseas Chinese in New York, but also they had negotiations with investment institutions on Wall Street.

　　The business trip opens a great window for Guanghua Dingli based on its vision of ‘Keeping a foothold in Beijing, Developing three Northern regions (Northeast, Northwest and North China), Affecting the whole country and Going abroad’. It was reported that Guanghua Dingli’s liaison office in New York is on the way to open in summer as planned. By summer vacation this year, the first student group will go to US for the summer camp program.
